The World’s Poultry Science Association Sri Lanka branch was initiated by Dr Chin How Cheong, the then General Manager of Ceylon Grain Elevators Ltd. In June 1998 the branch started with a small membership of 25. and the membership has now grown to 100 inclusive of 11 Corporate members. The membership consists of veterinarians, poultry scientists, farmers input suppliers and all others with interest in poultry. In the initial years the secretarial work and accounts was done at the National Chamber of Commerce.
